Hormone replacement therapy
in women with medical conditions

Clinicians often are confronted with patients who might benefit from estrogen replacement therapy but have underlying medical conditions. Should clinicians limit the use of HRT in women with chronic medical conditions such as hypertension, Type II diabetes, or morbid obesity? The following three case studies outline clinical considerations for use of HRT in women with underlying medical problems.
