Actress Kim Cattrall discusses her menopause journey and partnership with Tune In To Menopause, an awareness campaign designed to empower women.
Every day, an estimated 6,000 women in the United States reach menopause. ObGyn.net recently spoke with Golden Globe award-winning actress Kim Cattrall about menopause and her menopause story. Widely known for her role as "Samantha" and the HBO hit show Sex and the City, Cattrall recently teamed up with Pfizer to launch its "Tune In To Menopause" campaign and associated website TuneInToMenopause.com, designed to bring the conversation about menopause front and center.
The campaign is designed to educate women about menopause and to empower women to decide how they want their "menopause style" to be. The website features a quiz, as well as a Pandora playlist of songs chosen by Cattrall. Pfizer, who is sponsoring the campaign, will donate $1 to Dress for Success for every quiz taken. The overarching message: menopause doesn't have to disrupt women's lives and careers. There are many options available to help manage symptoms associated with menopause, but gynecologists and patients have to communicate.
