Cardiovascular disease continues to be a major threat to women. Inflammation and undertreatment of dyslipidemia are key contributing factors. A proactive approach is required to help mitigate cardiovascular risk in women.

Cardiovascular disease continues to be a major threat to women. Inflammation and undertreatment of dyslipidemia are key contributing factors. A proactive approach is required to help mitigate cardiovascular risk in women. The Ω3 fatty acid eicosapentaenoic acid has anti-inflammatory properties, reduces atherogenic lipids, and has pleiotropic effects on multiple cellular and molecular mechanisms of atherosclerosis.
