Are some women without medical need more likely to get requested C-sections?
Yes, according to a recent survey. While physicians are generally reluctant to agree to patient requests for primary cesarean delivery without a clear medical indication, those women with male physicians and those of high socioeconomic status are more likely to have their requests granted.
