CMS proposed G-codes for obstetric billing draw concern from ACOG amid coding transition

PRIME trial: Biomarker screening cuts NICU admissions in first pregnancies

A biomarker-guided screening strategy significantly reduced neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) admissions and composite neonatal morbidity in nulliparous pregnancies, according to a secondary analysis of the PRIME randomized controlled trial (NCT04301518) published in The Journal of Maternal-Fetal & Neonatal Medicine.

Symptom confusion, care barriers drive perimenopause uncertainty

One in 3 US women aged 35 years and older is uncertain about whether they are in perimenopause, with symptom confusion, knowledge gaps, and barriers to clinical confirmation identified as the primary drivers, according to a large, mixed-methods study published in Menopause, the journal of The Menopause Society.

Highlighting zuranolone's real-world effectiveness on postpartum depression with Joy Baker, MD

A phase 4, prospective, real-world study of zuranolone (Zurzuvae; Sage Therapeutics and Biogen) for postpartum depression (PPD) produced clinically meaningful symptom improvement across all baseline severities, findings that coauthor Joy Baker, MD, FACOG, PMH-C, C-EFM, MT(ASCP), said should increase clinician comfort in prescribing the oral treatment beyond severe disease.
