Clean cervix with betadine on well-lubricated Fox Tip Swab.
Step 2
Place scope over finger into posterior fornix.
Step 3
Ensure constant flow of saline.
Step 4
Slowly back up scope until external cervical os is visualized.
Step 5
Once in cervix, maintain angle so that cervical trauma is minimized. If using a 30-degree scope looking up, keep the cervical canal at the very bottom of the screen.
