New software technology providing virtual real-time remote access to labor-and-delivery waveform data.
The FDA-cleared software application uses a cell phone connection on a mobile device to access not only this time-sensitive data, but also historical FHR tracings and contraction patterns. AirStrip OB aims to reduce risk and lower health-care costs by giving ob/gyns anytime access to the fetal strip, from anywhere.
The company says the images appear on the mobile device just as they would on a hospital's bedside monitor. Built on Microsoft's NET Framework platform, AirStrip OB's features include HIPAA compliance with single user sign-on, rapid and secure data transmission (to-but not from the remote site), and a user-friendly screen.
