ACOG updates clinical guidance on delayed umbilical cord clamping in preterm neonates

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) has issued updated clinical guidance on the management of umbilical cord clamping in preterm neonates. This Clinical Practice Update, developed in collaboration with expert clinicians and endorsed by leading professional organizations, is based on recent data from 2 systematic reviews and individual participant data meta-analyses published in November 2023.¹
