Abnormal Uterine Bleeding – The Importance of Patient Education and Minimally Invasive Treatment Options
Dr. Hendessi (he/him/his) is the Vice Chair of Gynecology at Boston Medical Center. He is a graduate of Boston University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Boston Medical Center, where he served as Administrative Chief Resident and received an award for Excellence in Gynecologic Laparoscopy. Dr. Hendessi is a Clinical Associate Professor at Boston University School of Medicine and is interested in resident education as well as minimally invasive and robot-assisted surgery. He is also a practicing General Gynecologist at the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center and is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Hendessi is the recipient of the 2005 and 2009 National Faculty Award, sponsored by ACOG and CREOG. He is also the first recipient of the BMC M. Adel Hamid Alumni Award for residency alumna or alumnus who has distinguished themselves as a dedicated clinical educator and surgeon, as well as advocate for underserved patient populations.
