Social determinants of health (SDOH) are defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) as the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work and age. New evidence shows that they can be as important in patient outcomes as genetics, especially in cancer treatment.

According to new research by Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions, SDOH significantly impacts outcomes for cancer patients. The study is part of an ongoing series of reports designed to help physicians, manufacturers and other healthcare stakeholders understand the trends and changes within specialty medicine and patient care.
