Although nearly four out of five physicians recently polled by a recruiting firm say they are happy in their present jobs, half of the respondents report that they anticipated changing jobs in the next 2 years. According to a report of the poll in Medical Economics (12/2/05), the top five reasons respondents sought greener pastures include:

The information was collected by the Atlanta-based recruiting firm Pinnacle Health Group. The firm polled 2,500 physicians in 10 specialties to determine why physicians sought other positions.
