ACOG has recently released “Thromboembolism in Pregnancy” in the September 2011 issue of 'Obstetrics & Gynecology'  to guide clinicians in the prevention, management and treatment of blood clots during pregnancy. The new guidelines recommend routine use of compression devices to reduce the risk of DVT, especially with c-section patients.  But how long will you use low-molecular-weight heprin after surgery?
