Roche prenatal app

Article

Pregnant patients learning to navigate the world of genetic health now have access to an app that helps to explain chromosomes, conditions that prenatal screening can identify, and available testing options such as non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT).

Roche has launched iPrenatal, a free app downloadable from Apple for iPad and iPhone users.

It was developed by a team of doctors and genetic specialists at Roche.

Patients are encouraged to use the app before they visit their ob/gyn care providers so that they feel more educated about what questions to ask.

Here also is a link to a review. Please let us know if you or your patients are making use of such apps and whether you believe such apps are helping to improve patient knowledge. Email Senior Editor Angie DeRosa at aderosa@mjhlifesciences.com
