5. adenomyosis of the uterus
The uterus is bulky with a globular shape. Unlike a fibroid of the uterus, there is diffuse enlargement of the uterine fundus and body, without any evidence of a well-defined mass within the uterus. There is also evidence of increased vascularity and dirty shadowing typical of adenomyosis.
