What are the ethical duties of expert witnesses?

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has updated its opinion on the ethical duties of physicians who testify as expert witnesses. In Obstetrics & Gynecology (8/2007), ACOG provided the following guidelines for individual ob/gyn expert witnesses:
