Certolizumab pegol receives FDA BTD for adverse pregnancy outcomes in APS

The FDA granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation to certolizumab pegol (Cimzia; UCB) for the prevention of placenta-mediated adverse pregnancy outcomes in pregnant women with antiphospholipid syndrome who are positive for lupus anticoagulant, based on preliminary evidence from the IMPACT study showing significantly lower rates of adverse outcomes than historical controls.

Phase 3 LUNA study: atogepant reduces menstrual migraine days vs. placebo

Atogepant (Qulipta; AbbVie) met the primary endpoint and all 8 ranked secondary endpoints in the phase 3 LUNA study evaluating its use for the preventive treatment of menstrual migraine, reducing migraine days during the perimenstrual period by 0.80 days more than placebo.
